8-4-4=0 EDUCATION SYSTEM
Had that test today. Not a CAT, a Sit In Test. Yes there is a difference. Either it was simple or I have become brighter. I am guessing the former[LSEJA]. Some photography class. I swear the higher the level of education the higher the level of confusion. Just goes on to prove my theory that the 8-4-4 education system in Kenya amounts to nothing.
Do you remember the primary colours as taught in primary school? Maybe I am the one that went to a module II class or something because what I was taught was that the primary colours were yellow, red and blue. By that fat Art and Crafts teacher with brown teeth. Mrs. Magego. Okay I am lying. She was not fat. I am also pretty sure she did not have brown teeth. I have bad memory so that is what my imagination could come up with. Anyway. Blue, yellow and red were the primary colours then you mix these to get the secondary colours. Red and yellow equals to orange. red and blue equals to purple. Blue and yellow equals green. Blue and yellow and red equals white. That is what I was taught. I am guessing that is also what you did in Art and Craft. Then come university shit changes. Primary colours are red and blue and GREEN (RGB). Generally I got confused. But then again I am not a colour guy. I, like every nigga, know of only 16 colours…like Windows default colour setting. Some things are not even colours to me. Pumpkin is what I call my girlfriend, cream is what I make her do and linen are the sheets under which all this happens. I do not even know how to pronounce magneta correctly. Wait, that is magenta. Or is it maganeta? HELL! And now I have been told that a rainbow has only 6 colours not 7. I have to agree because I still don't understand the difference between indigo, violet and purple! I am a dude. I am straight. I am short sighted. And to spice it all up I might be color blind. Just the other day I saw the word green written somewhere and read it ‘red’. No way I am ever getting a job with Crayola.
And its not just that colour thing that I found different . In college, water and oil mix, gravity is not a force, zero divided by zero is not zero, diamond is not (always?) made out of carbon and the chicken did not even cross the road! I am afraid to take everything I knew as fact. Because facts are changing. Even math .And that is something I thought could not. Check this out. A number divided by zero is infinity and a number divided by itself is one and a zero divided by a number is zero. Right? So what is zero divided by zero?
All this confusion made me as bad at math as Drake. I mean, the nigga thinks the square root of 69 is 8. Oh Now, Now! What A Shame!
